Rahul Gandhi in Gunnaur Part 5
http://gandhirahul.info/
“Till a leader goes to the poor, stays with them, eat at their home and drink water from their houses and get sick, he cannot understand poverty,” emphasized Rahul Gandhi.
"Whenever I mingle with the poor, visit their homes and share meals with them some leaders while sitting inside TV studios mock at me. They call such things a drama of Rahul Gandhi. I go to the villages to experience the real strength of the country. I see the future of the country in the villages. And I see the youth there who can change the country,” said Rahul Gandhi amidst loud applauds.

Congress ready with Food Security Bill to ensure no death from hunger

First time in the history of our country Congress is bringing Food Security Bill to ensure that no death takes place on account of hunger or poverty. Abolition of hunger requires a multifaceted strategy seeking to provide food grains to poor at subsidized rate. Wheat or rice would be made available to BPL families at rupees three per KG. Alongside this the anti-poverty programmes and employment extension programmes have been implemented to increase the access to food for the poor by increasing their income or command over resources. These programmes are also being supplemented by social assistance transfers like old age and widows’ pensions to assist destitute families with no income earning capacity. The Congress Party had committed itself to adopt a comprehensive national strategy to get rid of the scourge of hunger. Now with Food Security Bill it has fulfilled its promise.
